What we do
You will find us connecting relationally with our neighbors, our friends from work, and anyone who wants to join us in discovering the kingdom lifestyle values of Jesus. You will see us participating in a street or park clean-up, facilitating a Person of Jesus study in our neighborhood, or helping recently arrived refugees with life in the USA. We believe life together is fluid and natural. It can be defined by the depth of relationship with Jesus and others. That’s why our ethos is to “love God passionately and others compassionately”. Our desire is to be disciples of Jesus, and make disciples who live kingdom lives for Him.

Home Fellowships

We celebrate Jesus together as a community. Home fellowships are one way we can be identified, usually meeting weekly to share a meal, strengthen and encourage one another, share burdens and joys, and to pray together.

Church is not a service or a place, it is the followers of Jesus living life together.  We believe open and authentic relationships with a small, loving community of believers is vital to personal transformation. Every believer is called and expected to be a participant in the work of Christ with some functioning as servant leaders.

House fellowships offer those without social networks a unique and supportive spiritual family, or they can be formed around already existing social
networks that choose to take their friendship to a deeper level and seek God together.  Our goal is for these gatherings of Christ followers to be simple enough that they can be multiplied locally and globally.

Monthly Celebrations

celebration.jpgOur home fellowships gather corporately once per month to celebrate life together as a community, to worship, and to share what God is doing among us. These gatherings as an entire community foster interconnectedness with one another.

These celebrations have taken place in a barn, at different parks, and indoors when the weather is cold outside.  Some celebrations are focused on equipping and teaching from the Word of God.  Others are more geared towards our friends that are exploring what it means to trust Jesus with their lives.

Life Transformation Groups

Proverbs 27:17 says, "Iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." A Life Transformation Group (LTG) is a simple way to live in community and accountability with others who need Jesus to change their lives from the inside out. These groups are a grassroots tool for Proverbs 27:17 to be lived out in our lives.

A LTG is made up of two or three people, all of the same gender, who meet weekly for personal accountability for their spiritual growth and development. It is recommended that a group not grow past three but rather multiply into two groups of two when a fourth person is added.

There are three things that are essential in a LTG. Sin is confessed in mutual accountability, scripture is read repetitively in context and in community and friends that need Jesus are prayed for together.

One LTG participant says: "For me personally, I look forward to these times every week. I have seen Proverbs 27:17 come to life in front of me as our LTG has made a commitment to walk together. I truly believe that we need each other to walk this journey of life. It is helpful to know that I have people in my life that will ask me the hard questions.  Not condemn me when I fall, but gently encourage me to get back up. I also know that reading scripture together in community is a good discipline. If one person in the group hasn't read the scripture that was agreed upon, we just reread it the next week. I am often reminded that I don't just want to read it, to get my homework done...but I want to read it and let the words soak in and change me. :) I am also glad that praying for others is a part of our time together. It is a fresh reminder that the Kingdom of God is not just about us and the issues that we are working through, but for all people and nations."

kidsclub1.jpgKids Club

Every Thursday night the children from The Net-Lancaster meet from 7:00-8:30 p.m. for worship, teaching, crafts, snacks and games.

Our vision for this is "A safe, fun place for children to learn about Jesus."  One parent commented, "I am particularly excited about this because these Kids' Club times are meant to be times of teaching and worship for the children.  I am praying the Holy Spirit breathes life into this and that children come to love the Lord.  Please join me in prayer for this as it comes to mind."

Network activities

hayride.jpgThe family of God is so much bigger than church services. We enjoy periodic times of worship and teaching together, but we also share together in lots of other life-giving activities. There's water arobics, picnics, spontaneous parties, service projects, scrapbooking, spiritual growth classes, etc. The list of possibilities is endless! The goal is to provide a setting where people can connect with each other and with God. Maybe you have an idea for a gathering. Is it life giving? Does it honor the Lord? Share your idea with us and we'll add it to the list of network events. Remember, loving relationships are the only building blocks in the Kingdom of God. Another one of our values is simplicity. We value that our time spent is purposeful and strategic, not filling our scheldues with events out of obligation, but activities that will revive us, our families and friends in body, soul, and spirit!

Support Teams

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 states, "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!"

We envision starting "support teams" at a network level for individuals/families that may need them. Already the network has worked together to help refugee families get resettled. It seems like God may be giving us another way that teams like this could be used.

A support team would consist of 3 to 5 people who would come around a person/family who is ready and willing to work very specifically at holistic growth in various areas of their lives (i.e. physical, spiritual, and emotional). These teams would meet for a season with this individual/family and each team would look different depending on the individual/family needs.

These support teams would not be actual "house fellowships" because it is not healthy for a church to focus only on one person's health and well being. Rather these teams would be an extension of the church and network. Obviously, prayer and the Holy Spirit would be the biggest part of making these support teams a success.
